Our Materials & Standards
Last updated: April 2026

At Pandemonium Paradise, what we sell and how it’s made are closely connected.
Rather than sourcing from multiple brands with mixed standards, we’ve chosen to work with a single supplier that aligns with how clothing should be produced. That supplier is Earth Positive, whose garments form the foundation of every product we offer.
Every product we offer follows a consistent set of material and ethical standards—focused on organic fibres, fair working conditions, and lower-impact production.
Here’s what that looks like in practice.
100% Organic Cotton
All garments sold through Pandemonium Paradise use 100% organic cotton fabric.
Unlike conventional cotton, organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or genetically modified seeds. This supports healthier soil, reduces exposure to harmful chemicals, and helps protect farming communities and surrounding ecosystems.
It’s also chosen for how it performs. Organic cotton creates soft, breathable, and durable fabric that works well for everyday wear — particularly in the Australian climate, where comfort and moisture management matter.
We focus on natural fibres because they avoid the microplastic shedding associated with synthetic materials like polyester.
At the same time, we keep construction practical.
Small components such as stitching (thread), labels, and trims may include synthetic materials — a standard part of making garments that hold their shape and last over time.
This approach prioritises natural materials where they matter most, while maintaining the durability expected from everyday clothing.
Certified Materials & Production Standards
Our garments are supported by a combination of recognised certifications and independent verification programs, including:
- Global Organic Textile Standard — certified organic cotton
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 — tested for harmful substances
- OEKO-TEX Made in Green — verified responsible production
- Fair Wear Foundation — independently monitored labour conditions
- Fair Share — supporting progress toward living wages
- PETA Approved Vegan — no animal-derived materials
- Carbon Footprint Reduction (Carbon Trust Verified) — independently measured and reduced through renewable energy and low-impact production (up to 90% lower emissions)
These standards provide independent verification across how materials are grown, how garments are produced, and how environmental impact is measured and reduced.
Fair Wear Monitored Manufacturing
Ethical production is just as important as sustainable materials.
All garments we sell are produced in facilities monitored by the Fair Wear Foundation — an independent organisation focused on improving working conditions in the garment industry.
This monitoring system focuses on:
- safer working conditions
- fairer wage progression
- responsible labour practices
- ongoing factory improvements
Fair Wear is not a one-time certification. It’s an ongoing process designed to improve conditions over time through regular audits and accountability.
Climate-Conscious Production
Garments produced by Earth Positive are manufactured using renewable energy, including wind and solar power.
This significantly reduces reliance on fossil fuels and lowers emissions during production.
The carbon footprint of each product is measured using internationally recognised standards (such as BSI PAS2050) and independently verified by the Carbon Trust.
Through a combination of organic farming, energy efficiency, and renewable energy use, emissions are reduced by up to 90% compared to conventional production — focusing on real reductions at source rather than offsetting.
Vegan and Cruelty-Free Apparel
All products available on Pandemonium Paradise are vegan-friendly.
This means no animal-derived materials such as wool, leather, silk, or down are used in the garments we sell.
Customers looking for cruelty-free clothing can shop with confidence knowing our product selection aligns with vegan principles.
Plastic-Free & Compostable Packaging
Orders are shipped in certified home-compostable mailers, along with compostable labels and stickers.
These materials can be placed into home compost systems as brown waste and typically break down within 90–120 days.
Our packaging also includes a double adhesive strip, allowing the mailer to be reused for returns if needed.
This helps reduce unnecessary packaging waste while making the returns process easier for customers.
Low-Impact Shipping
All orders are shipped carbon-neutral via Australia Post with tracking.
Where available, electric vehicle delivery is used in metropolitan areas, helping reduce emissions associated with last-mile delivery.
We also prioritise standard shipping rather than express shipping because express logistics have a significantly higher environmental impact.
Responsible Operations
The way the business runs matters just as much as the products themselves.
Pandemonium Paradise operates as a low-impact business focused on reducing unnecessary waste and resource use wherever possible.
Our Australian-based operations run using renewable energy (powered by Diamond Energy) and carbon-neutral website hosting via Serversaurus.
Alongside this, we prioritise:
• tank water
• second-hand office furniture
• minimal paper usage
• a low-waste, practical approach to day-to-day operations
We focus on improving how the business operates over time, rather than relying on small add-ons or offsets.
It’s a slower approach, but one that keeps things clear, practical, and consistent.
A Slower Approach to Fashion
Rather than chasing fast fashion trends, we focus on high-quality everyday basics designed to last.
Durable clothing made from responsible materials encourages a slower, more thoughtful approach to fashion consumption.
This philosophy helps reduce waste while providing comfortable, reliable clothing people can wear for years.
These standards aren’t perfect—but they’re consistent. And that consistency is what allows us to keep improving over time.
Materials & Standards FAQ
Why do you only sell organic cotton clothing?
We focus on organic cotton because it avoids synthetic pesticides and harsh chemical inputs used in conventional cotton farming. It also creates breathable, durable fabric that performs well for everyday wear, particularly in the Australian climate.
Do you sell polyester or synthetic fabrics?
No. We do not sell garments made from polyester or other synthetic fibres. These materials can shed microplastics during washing, which may contribute to long-term environmental pollution. We prioritise natural fibres like organic cotton instead.
How are your garments made ethically?
Our garments are produced in facilities monitored by the Fair Wear Foundation. This means working conditions are independently assessed and improved over time, with a focus on fair wages, safe conditions, and responsible labour practices.
Are your products completely plastic-free?
Our garments use 100% organic cotton fabric. Some small components such as stitching, labels, and trims may include synthetic materials for durability and performance.
Are your products vegan?
Yes. All clothing sold through Pandemonium Paradise is vegan-friendly, meaning no animal-derived materials such as wool, leather, silk, or down are used.
Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
Orders are shipped in certified home-compostable mailers with compostable labels and stickers. These materials typically break down within 90–120 days and can also be reused for returns thanks to the built-in second adhesive strip.
